A new luxury hotel recently opened in Johannesburg has set the tone for the hospitality industry and implements comprehensive measures to make use of solar energy at your hotel.
The hotel is at the heart of DaVinci Hotel, which opens in the upmarket area of Nelson Mandela Square in Sandton, Johannesburg. The Legacy Hotel Group, which owns the luxury hotel has worked with several international experts Kayema Energy and Solar Energy to design the considerably large solar water heating and complicated.
The system of solar water heating is a massive 117 flat-plate solar collectors can create enough hot water to supply enough hot water to 138 rooms. The system powered by solar hot water, which has a capacity of 30,000 liters of hot water, will result in a bill 60% reduced power for the hotel and substantially reduce the footprint of the structure.
